Since the introduction of version 0.9x, and with any 0.9x version, native DSD playback with the Pioneer N-50A no longer works. It works fine with earlier versions, for example 0.8.4, though then I have to set a very low latency in ASIO (6 ms or less), otherwise there's some noise present, particularly with DSD128. PCM playback has no problems.

A Marantz DAC works fine playing native DSD with 0.9x versions, though.

With other native DSD software (e.g. albumplayer.ru) the Pioneer N-50A also works fine.

I am using an Intel i3 NUC PC running Windows 10, 8 GB RAM etc. The Pioneer uses the cmedia USB chipset.

Is there a way to fix this, so that the Pio N-50A can play native DSD with versions 0.9x?

Thanks,
Marco

Please add the DSD mode (Dop or Native) into foo_input_sacd without resampling and without asio proxy.
    Thanks

There's no resampling nor upsampling set, that only works with versions prior to 0.9.x, with asio proxy.
asio proxy is not installed either, tried that already. It would have been really strange if that would've helped anyway.

Ok, I got it to work again. I installed ASIO proxy 0.9.2 (foo_dsd_audio) in conjunction with foo_input_sacd 0.9.2 and set the Output device DSD : ASIO : Pioneer. Now the Pioneer works without latency problems in native DSD64 & DSD128 (as per spec). I do not know why it won't work otherwise, but it seems to need the proxy driver. Also, I haven't been able to get the Pio to work in DoP mode (v 0.9.7 and beyond), although it is supported. Next, I will be trying the higher 0.9.x versions in conjunction with the proxy driver...
