#102 SACD/DSD playback/decoding

Hi Maxim,
I have read in other thread that you stated that:
- it decodes sources to DoP or PCM format
- it is not possible to bitstream DSD from the computer. Neither HDMI nor IEEE 1394 supports that.

I use ASIO through USB to DAC that is Native DSD capable. What does "decoding" mean? Does your plugin wrap DSD signal as DoP and then ASIO+DSD unwrap it to NativeDSD. Or does it really decode the signal (to what)? It is true that HDMI will not output DSD from PC but USB can do it. So do your method just bypasses foobars inability to playback/output DSD or does it do something more/else to the signal?

Exactly, it wraps DSD signal to DoP in input plugin and recovers it to Native DSD in ASIO+DSD. A kind of "bypass" I think.
