Hello Maxim,
I've been trying to get the DSD Processor to upconvert PCM to DSD256/512. This was working well in the past, but after a foobar upgrade awhile back it has totally stopped working. I have tried rolling back to older foobar versions, different SACD and DSD Processor components - nothing works.
Something is missing, I hope you can help me find it.

My system:
Win 10 Pro, intel i7, 4 cores.

SMSL D6 DAC
XMOS_USBAudio_v5.70.0_2024-11-08

foobar 2.1.6 (x86)
foo_out_asio 2.1.2
SACD 1.5.4
DSD Processor 1.3.2

Trying to attack this logically -- First trying to get DSD playback working as the starting point. At this point, DSD 64 and DSD 256 files will

play, but with breakup. My DAC will indicate 64 or 256 - however, the ASIO driver says it's in PCM mode. This is with just the SACD component, with USB driver output selected. And that's where I'm stuck.
Console file is attached showing this.

Please note - foo_out_asio+dsd will upconvert PCM to DSD 256/512 without issue. In this mode, the ASIO driver shows DSD with correct bit rates.

But it will not play DSD files directly.

Please let me know if you need addional console, or other, files.

Thank you,
Lawrence Davis

Check that DSD Processor is selected in Preferences->Tools->SACD.
Check that "Enable smooth seeking" is unselected in Preferences->Playback->Output
Check that DSD Processor is in "Active DSPs" list.

    Hi Maxim,

Yes, all were selected as you mentioned....

However the problem has been resolved, the result of a fortunate mishap:

I had a total foobar crash, due to trying to install foo_out_asio+dsd 0.4.5.
(please read my Bug Report, # 205). I had to delete and re-install foobar to fix that.

After reinstalling foobar, DSD Processor is working again, without issues so far.
Apparently changing foobar versions via its installer did not clear out something that was preventing SACD/DSD Processor from working.
    But it's working now.

Thank you Maxim, for your work on all these components - and for making them available to us.

    Kind regards,
    Lawrence Davis
