Hello

Is it possible for Foobar to show the bitrate that wavpack compressed dsd is currently playing at just like dst compressed sacds rather than the uncompressed bitrate?

Thanks

To follow up on this: currently (1.5.10) there is an inconsistency (bug) in how Foobar will show the bitrate of DSD WavPack files, caused by the foo_input_sacd plugin.

When adding such files to a playlist, sometimes Foobar will show the correct, compressed bitrate, and sometimes (most of the time) will show the uncompressed bitrate (5645 kbps).
If you go into the properties of a WavPack DSD file, the files where the correct compressed bitrate is shown, Foobar sees as 24/352 and codec/codec profile as Wavpack/WavPack high, however these play as DSD as expected. If you then use the 'reload info' function, it will change the bitrate back to 5645 and the codec/codec profile changes to DSD64/DSD64 high, and they are shown correctly as having samplerate 2882400 and 1 bit per sample.

Normally, if you play a file in Foobar with outdated info, as soon as you play it the info will update. However, this is not the case on WavPack DSD files when foo_input_sacd is installed. It will keep showing the compressed bitrate as if it were a 24/352 file until you use the reload info function manually.

The weirdest thing is that it depends on from which folder you add the WavPack DSD file whether Foobar will show the bitrate correctly (compressed) or incorrectly (uncompressed DSD). If I add them from my Downloads folder on C:, I consistently get the high bitrate; if I add them from my music folder on D:, I get the compressed bitrate in my bitrate column.

Please fix this bug so that Foobar always identifies the files correctly, no matter from where I add the files, and please always with the correct compressed bitrate, bits per sample, samplerate, coded and codec profile. Preferably, codec/codec profile should be listed as WavPack DSD/WavPack DSD high to differentiate between these and regular PCM WavPacks.

These problems are all caused by the foo_input_sacd plugin, because if I delete it, Foobar will work consistently and always see the files as 24/352 Wavpack high.

    Ok, in the next version.
