Hello,
Unfortunately, the new version [foo_out_asio+dsd-0.4.0] causes a very heavy background buzzing / noise, at least for me. If I use the previous version, everything can be heard clearly without the background noise.
I think I'm here for the same problem: I get harsh aliasing when playing back DSD to PCM. The problem is easy to spot if you happen to try converting the file to FLAC, even with the 30kHz lowpass option. There's an aliasing pattern that begins right at nyquist of whatever sample rate you choose. I usually run it at 192kHz and it's barely noticeable, but I had happened to use a device for a bit that only goes to 96kHz, and suddenly it was way louder and pronounced. 32bit versions work perfectly, It's only on 2.x

I think trace file from DSD Transcoder is needed then. Could you use DSD Transcoder as the ASIO+DSD output device and set trace output level 3, please? Thank you.

Hello,
I have now installed the latest version of the foo_out_asio+dsd and noticed that this strong distorted background noise is still very strong. Can I send you another trace file to investigate the case. I apologize I was busy for a long time, hence the late response. Thanks a lot..

Thank you, I did. Does sound change when "Run in dedicated process" checkbox is unchecked?

Thank you. I've put 0.4.2-2 in interim folder. If it still produces noise, please attach capture with sine.

yess,
The annoying background noise is gone. But damn it, the sound is now as precise as a goddamn razor blade. At least in the treble part. It may be my imagination, but I heard highs in some songs at very high volume that I never heard before. I'll compare this with the old versions. Triple "WOOOOW" to you. Thank you so much for the insane support and fixing this stubborn BUG :|D
Do not hesitate to ask for my help if you still need it for further optimization. I'm always ready to do investigation.

In which mode this background buzzing happens? DSD or PCM?
PCM
File->Playback->Output->Devices: how many bits are set for output device?
24bit

Yes/ please.
Okay, here's the TraceFile. I hope that we will be able to find the bug and fix it.
Trace looks fine for me. Could you please provide another output file by selecting "Tap Output" instead of "Level 3"?
Sure. Thank you for your answer and your work. Here's the file.
There must be some .WAV files as well. Please, attach them too
Yes, you are right. Here the .wav created from tap-output.
Thank you! Could I ask for more, please? To make .WAV file with "Tap Input" selected and link to the source track.
There was only a .wav created, not a .trc file.
Did you get the file?
Thank you, I did. Does sound change when "Run in dedicated process" checkbox is unchecked?

I put 0.4.2-1 in Interim folder. It is downgraded from output_v6 to output_v5 interface. Could you please check that?
Hi, tried the new Version "0.4.2-1". The background buzzing noise remains.
Could you play and capture .wav output for the attached file, please?
Hi, made with "0.4.2-1".
Thank you. I've put 0.4.2-2 in interim folder. If it still produces noise, please attach capture with sine.
