I get garbled noise over music when playing DSD through WASAPI. No such problem with ASIO+DSD but it introduces pops when the music gets loud. The problem persists when I rolled back to older versions of SACD decoder. I recently upgraded to Windows 11. With Windows 8.1 I used to have this problem but you fixed it with an update after I reported it. I’m using 32-bit foobar2000. Thank you!

The problem is solved when I use foo_out_asio with the SACD decoder. It could be a problem with WASAPI. Also it doesn’t have the harsh buzzing sound when switching tracks or during louder segments of music, problem I have with asio+dsd plugin.

With ASIO+DSD you listen to DSD64 in native 1 bit and 2822400 Hz

With WASAPI (exclusive) you listen to DSD64 in PCM DOP at 24 bit and 176400 Hz

That said: with ASIO+DSD with lossy mp3 files the audio crackles, with lossless flac files the audio doesn't crackle.
With WASAPI (exclusive) with lossy mp3 files the audio does not crackle, with lossless flac files the audio does not crackle.

I no longer use ASIO+DSD, nor WASAPI (exclusive) but ASIO Output 2.2.2 and DSDTranscoderInstall-1.2.0 and I have no problems of any kind

I use foobar2000 v2.1.3 [32bit] and as an operating system I use Windows 11 Pro, and as a DAC I have a Topping E70 Velvet

Thanks for sharing! Here's my experience:
    1. DoP through ASIO Output: Plays flawlessly.
    2. Native through DSD Transcoder/ASIO Output: Plays flawlessly.
    3. Native through ASIO+DSD: DSD plays flawlessly. Noise at louder parts of flac tracks, or when I switch tracks.
    4. Dop through WASAPI: Flac tracks play flawlessly. DSD plays with garbled noise over music.

I hope the problem with ASIO+DSD can be fixed. I really prefer not having to install DSD Transcoder.
