A loud sound on changing a track after updating to foo_out_asio+dsd-0.3.8.
Rolled back to foo_out_asio+dsd-0.3.7 - problem fixed.
Back and forth between 0.3.8 and 0.3.7 a couple more times - confirmed every time.

With lossy mp3 audio files, unfortunately I can hear the sound croak, with lossless audio files the sound does not croak and it works perfectly, so I am forced to still use ASIO Output 2.2.2 and DSDTranscoder because this way the lossy mp3 audio files the sound I don't hear it croak.

Same her, loud sound between mp3 tracks. Do not now if it is caused by the new asio+dsd-out, but it staretd recently.

Hi, whenever I manually change the playing tracks there is a loud "bzzzzdt" sound between them (before the second track starts). It does not matter if tracks are losy or lossles or have the same or different kHz/bits. It only happens with maual change. If the tracks play automatically one after another everything is OK. It only happens with foo out ASIO+DSD. When I change the output to ASIO:DSDTranscoder everything is OK.

@manisiutkin - any news on the topic?
    I can now confirm that:
-ver. 0,3,8 - produces very loud "bzzzdtr" sound on manual changing of the tracks -regardless of lossiness or bitdepth or resolution of the tracks
-ver. 0,3,7 - sometimes (not always, not often) produces the same sound between mp3 tracks (not changed manually but auto play)
    - DSDTrascoder with official ASIO output never does this.
    - I am not sure if 0,3,7 is the first version affected but it started not so long ago (probably in one of 2023 versions).

All version ASIO+DSD broke lossy files. With DSDTrascoder all OK

The last good version for me was foo_out_asio+dsd-0.2.2. A lot of problems with newer versions. Can someone try and confirm my experience (with ver.0.2.2)?

foo_out_asio+dsd-0.2.2 solved a problem I had with loud buzzing when changing FLAC tracks with different sampling rates mid-way through when using foo_out_asio+dsd-0.3.8. DSD tracks don't have this problem with foo_out_asio+dsd-0.3.8.zip.

I tried 0.2.2 but it didn't help. The only thing that solved my problem was installing DSD Transcoder then applying foo_out_asio.

I have this problem too. With all versions of the plugin. But in Adobe Audition or with ASIO plugin 2.2.3 (or older) same files sounds correct - without cracklings.
The problem observed with lossy files - mp3, opus... etc.
    For example

May I ask You, mr. Anisiutkin to solve this problem?

Could you, please, make a dump file for this track?
    1. Select ASIO+DSD:DSD Transcoder as the output device.
    2. Select Tap Input for Trace Output in DSD Transcoder control panel.
    3. Check that Preferences->Playback->Output->Devices-> DSD Transcoder is set to 24/32 bit.
    4. Play the full track.
    5. Give me this dump file.

Maybe I do something wrong, but DSD Transcoder didn't produce any dump file. May I ask You for more detailed instructions?

    I finally got the result

2 dumps of 1 file. For greater accuracy.

Thank you! Let's see whether it's fixed in 0.4.1.

    My pleasure! %)))
All works fine! Tested on foobar2000 2.1.6 x86.
Thank You for making the corrections so quickly.
At last may I ask You to compile a plugin version for foobar 1.5/1.6 (like plugin version 0.3.10) - I still use old version of foobar. %)))

    Thanks in advance.

  • Maxim V.Anisiutkin

Yes, please. It's put in foobar_1.5-1.6 subfolder.
