Loud pop when changing between stereo and multichannel (vice-versa) SACD ISO/DFF/DSF. When changing between different albums that are 6ch format, then there's no popping, same between stereo albums. There is no issues on switching between multichannel/stereo on other audio formats/plugins.

Latest version without this problem is foo_input_sacd 1.4.10. Since 1.4.11 and up to newest 1.5.5 all are affected.

My setup specs: Win10 2H22 19045.3448, i7 11700-KF, Intel Z590, 64 GB RAM, ASmedia ASM1083 PCIe to PCI bridge -> E-MU 1820M + Sync Card, foobar2000 1.6.7, playback via ASIO.

1.5.5 has Ramp parameter for DSD2PCM converter. Does it click if Ramp is set to 10 seconds or like?

Yes, there is nasty loud pop for all multistage and direct modes with any 0-10 ramp value. No pop for installable FIR modes with any 0-10 ramp values. Maybe PC is too fast (race condition somewhere)?

Btw: Every time I scan multiple tracks with ReplayGain (album mode scan), every time I get different values with different tracks get "bad allocation" error. ReplayGain scans in multiple threads: one thread per track, but simultaneously. When I scan one track a time, scan results are consistent.

What about 1.5.5-1? I've changed thread scheduler for DSD2PCM.

      It does not load unfortunately:

      Failed to load DLL: foo_input_sacd.dll
Reason: This component is missing a required dependency, or was made for different version of foobar2000.

      I have Foobar 1.6.7

I've updated 1.5.5-1. Not sure whether it'll load with foobar 1.6.7.

      It does not

Looks like foobar 2.0 or Microsoft runtime is needed.

    Tried new one:

    Failed to load DLL: foo_input_sacd.dll
Reason: Not a valid Win32 application.

Looks like it's 64 bit while my foobar is 32 bit.

Upd: both 32 and 64 dlls have identical checksums.

    1.5.5-stl should load in foobar 2.0 32/64.

It loads on 1.6.7, but loud loud pop is present in cases described earlier.

Also ReplayGain issue is fixed for installable FIR modes, but still present for other modes.

      ie:
      Let's take 2 albums
      1st is stereo dsd
      2nd is 6ch dsd

      Let's select multistage64fp

When I switch playback between those two albums, I hear loud pop that does not relate to the position of foobar's volume slider. It pops on full volume even if foobar's volume slider is on -100dB. (so Ramp value does not relate to the issue)

Changing between tracks in one album or to any other dsd album with same channel setup does not produce any pops.

This popping also affects ReplayGain scan: if I play 2ch album, stop, and then select 6ch album and begin RG scanning it, scan result table has "bad allocation" for random tracks.
But with new version (1.5.5-stl) results are consistent if I switch playback to this channel configuration (this album) before RG scan.

UPD: RG scan issue is present when I scan 6ch dff (separate files) album even on Installable FIR64 - see attachment

      UPD2: 6ch ISO is affected too :( - see 2nd attachment
