Playing (with ASIO) - DSD to PCM are 6 DB lower than native DSD

Playing the two channel set of a 5.1/2.-0 SACD are generating "overs" / clipping on RME ADI-2 FS very often - not the case with PCM, that represent a DR scan fairly well.

2.0 SACD's are often clipped as well, playing in native DSD - modern masterings (like japanese) are more prone to clip than older ones as they go closer to 0 db.

Again - not a problem with PCM playing which apparently are 6 DB lower out of the box.

The PCM setting "Volume [x Db)]" should VERY seldom be set to more than +4 Db to avoid clipping.
Playing single 2.0 DSF files from ripped sources, will produce overs/clipping as well, playing in native DSD.

Commercial DSD files usually are way below 0 Db, like - 6Db.

According to the SACD Scarlet book "0 dB Super Audio CD”,
corresponds to a sine wave with a peak amplitude equal to 50% of the theoretical maximum DSD signal level"

That so - 100% modulation level is +3Db?!

Anyway, thanks for all your affords programming this software, much appreciated
