DSD upsampling is not working very well in foobar v2. Here is my config.:

Foobar2000 v2.0 beta 8 (x64)

foo_out_asio 2.2
foo_dsd_processor 1.2.1
foo_input_sacd 1.5.1

Output: ASIO: DSD Transcoder (DoP/Native) - my channel mapping

Play with no DSD upsampling is flawless for all file types and native sampling rates.

If It try upsampling to DSD, within the first 60 secs, play freezes with a “snap” in the audio..

Increasing the Output: Buffer length has no impact on this.

Task Manager stats….CPU and MEM using <50% utilization during attempt to play.

I use the same setup in the 32 bit version and DSD upsampling works perfectly (except for Multi-channel. see below

Foobar2000 v1.6.11

foo_out_asio 2.1.2
foo_dsd_processor 1.1.5
foo_input_sacd 1.4.8

Output: ASIO: DSD Transcoder (DoP/Native) - my channel mapping

Works flawlessly. Upsamples to DSD256 (all PCM source rates and DSD64 (2-channel)) without a single dropout or stop.

Task Manager stats….CPU and MEM using <50% utilization

If I try to upsample DSD64 MULTI-CHANNEL to DSD256, play freezes with a snap.

CPU gets very high, so I just figured that I don’t have a fast enough processor to up-sample multi-channel.
