Hello manisiutkin,
Thank you for the highly appreciated SACD decoder :-)
After installing the 1.3.0 release, I have an issue with Foobar2000 crashing when playing PCM, SACD and DVD-Audio.
Crash minidump file attached.
I have a PCM only audio interface (RME Fireface 800, Foobar2000 1.6.4, Windows 10 latest).
I use the Asio2 plugin https://sourceforge.net/projects/foobar2000-wasap2-output/
(1) I have never had issues with the SACD decoder before.
(2) There is no issues with the 1.2.7 release.
(3) There is no issues if I switch to the official Asio component.
Don't know what could be the cause, but it could be that the Asio2 is critical about having exclusive control of the Asio/audio drivers.
I am no expert, just thinking loud ...
Best regards,
Jens

I did some workaround in v1.3.1. Please check.
Hello Maxim
Working, thanks a lot :-)

Hello Maxim,
I just had an issue with the SACD decoder from version 1.3.2 and upwards to 1.3.6.
I have only played SACDs in stereo for at while, and suddenly Foobar2000 crashed when playing SACDs in 5.1 multichannel, mostly without even making a crash report. It just simply went down.
Stereo is working perfectly.
To resolve the issue I reinstalled old versions and I had to go all the way back to version 1.3.1, which I knew was working, and now it is working again.
Now it's even working when I update from 1.3.1 to the latest version 1.3.6.
It was crashing with both the official Asio driver and Asio2.
I don't know what is causing the issue, but somehow the update you made for version 1.3.1 is solving the issue.
I am vey happy with the SACD decoder, so I just wanted to report this issue and how to resolve it, if anybody else is having the same problem.
I have attached the one and only crash dump Foobar2000 made, if you want to look into the issue.
Best regards,
Jens
Hello Maxim,
I just discovered that the issue actually affects playback (see my post above), when using the latest SACD decoder 1.3.6, and probably from 1.3.2 and above.
I also believe there is a small change in sound quality in general.
So I have returned to the old SACD decoder 1.3.1, which has no issues.
You can not just remove the new 1.3.6 driver and reinstall the old 1.3.1.
To get it working again, I replaced the whole appdata\foobar2000 folder with my backup.
C:\Users\"user xxxx"\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000

Since 1.3.2 I suppose. Hope it's fixed in 1.3.7.
Hello Maxim,
Thanks for looking into this :-)
Yes, I since 1.3.2.
You did something with 1.3.1, and maybe this will point to a direction in troubleshooting, but this time it affects not only the Asio2, but also the official asio driver.
I only have two crash logs, because mostly Foobar2000 just dies without a log.
One log is attached to my post above and the other to this post.
Best regards,
Jens
Hello Maxim,
Oh, I see that you already made the update to 1.37 :-)
I will try it out this evening, while watching the football match Denmark vs. Belgium .... thanks.
Have a great day.
