I just would like to add, that I have the same problem for alpha
architecture.

This is what I am doing:


$  java -v HelloJava
[verbose jni: JNI_CreateJavaVM]
[verbose gc: allocating initial heap (16777216 bytes)]
[verbose class: loading "java/lang/Object"]
sablevm: cannot create vm
