So, I'll simply add a /doc directory and you can put all your docs
there.  By default, it won't be included in .tar.gz distributions.  If
we think some of these should be included, eventually, we simply need
to update the auto* files appropriately.  No CVS branch headaches,
just ChangeLog pollution (which can be painfully avoided by passing
the appropriate arguments to cvs2cl).
