This has been fixed in the latest 1.5.0 alpha versions.

To the s3tools author: Perhaps the "unexpected error" message should be changed to include something along the lines of the following?

Please check the issue tracker and mailing list to see if this has been reported before and if there is a later version of s3tools, please test to see if the problem has been fixed already before reporting a bug to the mailing list.
