I'm SUPER excited to start leveraging S3 for my backups of my VPS, but I'm running into a snag.
I'm in PuTTy and transferring files with s3cmd to S3. Each transfer maxes out at 250 kB/s, but if I open another PuTTy session I can get another file to upload also at 250 kB/s.
So, I'm able to get multiple threads running at a combined speed that is pretty decent, but I'm wondering why individual threads seem to be limited to 250 kB/s?

Any help to get my transfer speeds increased will be GREATLY appreciated!
s3cmd itself doesn't do any rate limiting either.
