Hello .
Can not connect to device ( Cisco Pix 535 ) which does
not support Compression. Is there anyway i can disable
it?

    Yep, this should be an option, and I'll probably add it to
    v1.4 at some point. As a workaround, however, you could edit
    the config file manually.

    After running at least once, the PuTTY default config is
    stored in \system\apps\putty\defaults. This is a normal text
    file you can edit with any text editor. Transfer it to a PC
    or edit it on the device, locate the line

    Compression = 1

    and change it to

    Compression = 0

    This should disable compression.

    Note that PuTTY supports multiple different configurations,
    so you could save the no-compression setup to a different
    file, and load that when you need to connect to the Cisco.
    Using compression speeds up normal usage quite a bit,
    especially over GSM data, and you might want to keep it
    active for other use.

    Hey pekangas, THANKS for the information. I spent my saturday afternoon looking on how to workarround this same compression problem.
    Your workarround worked percfectly fot my Nokia E62 with my Cisco Routers.
    Thanks again, great job with this putty for Symbian.
