The files show up on two different computers. the dates that they are saved seem to indicate that they do not have to do with the tome packager. The files are very new in the C: drive, newer than the last tome packager created for both tomes.

Could it be when we decide to "save [a tome] as", and finally cancel the operation, or something like that? At least that's what happens when I try to save anything to the library, but cancel when the save dialog appears (except it's not in C: but in the RS main folder).
Or maybe start a new tome but don't complete the start up?

For tomes with more than one area, only the tom and one rsa file (the first area) is being saved.

Yes, I was able to reproduce it. What I can tell you so far is that it happens on very specific occasions, but I'm still trying to find a pattern...

This is still occurring with the new execs.

I still couldn't find any reason why it does that, but I found two tomes saved on C: yesterday!
