[Rubycocoa-talk] Best practice for Threads

Anyone have any pointers in how to work best with threads?

My problem in particular is that I want to do other stuff while rubycocoa-application (together with appscript) controls another application. 

NSThreads? Emulated threads (whatever that may be, as long as it does not involve NSTimer tricks...)
