私も同様の結果になったのですが、いったん普通にsshでloginを
試みたら以下のようにhome directoryを作ってくれました。
その後はcheckoutできるようになったので、commitしておきました。
# ドキュメントを見ようとしたらsf.netのwebsiteが落ちてる...
