Any > ideas as to what could be going wrong? CONFIG_RTNET_RTEXT_CLASSIC only applies to very old Xenomai version (or to RTAI), so this is probably wrongly configured. But you did not tell us what your Xenomai version is. BTW, a short description how to cross-compile RTnet can also be found a trtnet/drivers/mpc52xx_fec/README.
