#13 rtl8187 freezes system on unplug

Problem: Usually (over 80% of the time) when I unplug my RTL8187L USB adapter, Linux locks up (freezes)

I've observed this problem with both VirtualBox (latest version) and Desktop Parallels.

This was not a problem with 2.6.34. It is a problem with 3.6.39 and .38. I compiled version 3.1.1.1 of the vanilla compat drivers and the problem still exists.

I would like to test this on bare hardware but I'd need an optical drive and blank DVD. If I find one I'll update.
