Version 1.8 brings major generation speed improvements, GUI support for creating and downloading snapshots and template promotion/specialization/delete operations. Also, r3edit is formally bundled into r3, and features line numbers. On the CLI site, there is now support for shell auto-complete for commands and arguments.

it is recommended to download and install pkg "r3_c" which is a php extension and can improve performance significantly for larger environments.

To install the pkg, run "pear/pecl install r3_c-0.0.1.tgz". After install, you should add "extension=r3.so" to php.ini to have php load it.

r3 1.6.0 brings a major feature: access control. Both the GUI and the CLI support user access rules (e.g. "bob | location | template | edit | yes").

Support for permissions allow r3edit to be now built in - templates can now be edited with syntax highlighting for PHP+HTML+JavaScript/CSS.

r3 allows developers of web applications to customize and translate their UI for different languages, markets and uses. It allows developers to modify existing functionality and add new plug-ins via the Stickleback extension engine.

This is a major release with new features, enhancements and bug fixes. The significant enhancement include the improvement in generation by caching dimension/element. The new features include 1. bundling "simpler3" into the system for easy r3 integration and API calls; 2. having r3 cli support Windows.

This is a major release with a raft of new features including support for custom tags, loop and switch tags, and approved translations. The template parser now precompiles to native PHP to speed up generation. Also new is a 'domvar' tag, short for domain variable. This allows values to be set and retrieved using the same search path context as that used to locate translations and templates.

We're pleased to announce r3 Version 1.1.1. This provides significance UI enhancements including translation search. Other features include usability and performance improvements as well as numerous bug fixes.
