Using Mac OS X 10.2.x, I find that the program hangs while
creating the status bar (on the splash screen). Tried several
versions of the program (0.8.0, 0.8.3) with the same result.

I'm not sure how to go about diagnosing the problem, as I
dont have access to a Mac for testing...
To whoever posted this bug (or anyone else with a
Macintosh): If you're willing, I can send you a copy of RText
that will spit out extra debug information (either via a log file,
to stdout, or whatever), and you could send me the results,
helping to solve this problem.
If this sounds okay, please drop me a line at
and let me know. Thanks!
I believe this issue had to do with RText's use of the Robot
class; RText now does some exception handling that should (I
think) prevent MacOS from hanging when trying to initialize
the Robot. If nobody posts a followup to this bug in the next
few days with an update, I'm going to go ahead and mark it
