    How can I build and create an executable locally ? (that is without fetching
    from SVN repository)

    Open the RSSOwl.product file and click the export link from the editor.

    Followed your instructions and got the below error, any idea ?

    Dunno. Use eclipse 3.4.2 as target platform, only SWT can be later.

    You can also just export a single plugin and drop it into an existing
    installation. That's likely less error prone.
