I love RSSOwl but one feature is missing: an intuitive hotkey to toggle focus
from/to feeds pane and item list for a feed.
Each such toggle action currently requires multiple steps and/or multikey
hotkey combinations (ctrl+shift+space) that aren't intuitive and dissimilar
from hotkeys in other applications (and therefore harder to memorize).
The tab hotkey currently moves focus to the list of buttons above the panes. I
don't think that action is used often enough for the average user to warrant
that assignment. Isn't toggling between the two panes a much more common
yeah, a known issue. I think eclipse provides some basic commands to switch
between views and editors though, you might find one if you go to preferences
Yes I looked through the key settings but didn't find a way there to toggle. I
wrote an external script in the Autohotkey language to set Tab to toggle in
the desired way when RSSOwl is active. Code below, in case anyone else want
this at once. But I still hope the default binding for Tab is changed to this
toggle action. Once tab toggles pane focus users can do all remaining
navigation with the arrow keys. That's more user friendly than
ctrl+shift+space and ctrl+space or setting up extra hotkeys.
