How are the command line switches for lynx.exe? you should be able to get them with executing
lynx.exe --help
or
lynx.exe /?
$ lynx --version
Lynx Version 2.8.7rel.1 (05 Jul 2009)
libwww-FM 2.14, SSL-MM 1.4.1, OpenSSL 1.0.1c, ncurses 5.7.20091227(wide)
Built on cygwin May 8 2012 12:21:50
Does lynx start its own terminal when running from cmd.exe or another terminal? If not you need to start it from "Edit | Preferences | Browser" with a command starting the browser within the terminal. On my Linux/Gnome desktop I need to run
gnome-terminal -e lynx %s
I am not sure if you need that %s, just try.
I can run lynx by simply going to Start > Run > c:\cygwin\bin\lynx.exe.
I can also run it by running "c:\cygwin\bin\bash.exe -c /bin/lynx.exe".
The both of these work fine and open the terminal OK.
The problem with RSSOwl is that there's no reaction from it whatsoever, I don't think it actually executes what I put in there. I put "c:\cygwin\cygwin.bat" (that should open the terminal or at least flash it), but there's zero reaction from RSSOwl (and the log is empty too) so I don't think it's about the way I run the executable.
