to add the newsfeed from rssowl.org to running rssowl instance.
This feature is needed to set RSSowl as default RSS reader on your operating
Since RSSowl is build on top of Eclipse RCP (and Eclipse RCP does support
this), this should be possible. The linux shell script starting rssowl can be
easily upgradet. If you want to I can help you!
You can do this. Just follow the startup file with the URL. You dont have to
use a -url parameter at all. RSSOwl supports subscribing to a URL from the
browser already by passing the URL to the executable.
starting rssowl with
does not add the rss feed to rssowl abonements or anything. it just starts
RSSowl normally like if there was no parameter.
The solution is to start /usr/share/rssowl/rssowl.bin with this parameter. It
would be easier if the shell script /usr/bin/rssowl forwarded the url as
command line parameter to /usr/share/rssowl/rssowl.bin
(System: Ubuntu 10.10 amd64)

maintaining the repository, so maybe the issue is in there.
/ installed RSSowl from the repository.
