was wondering if anyone had seen this?
I previously uninstalled rssowl by mistake
I have reinstalled 1.1
Now, double clicking the rssowl.exe, I get the an error saying "could not launch rssowl"
However, I have managed to create a small BAT file, containing simply:
javaw -jar c:\progra~1\rssowl\rssowl.jar
And everything works OK?
Any ideas? Cheers, Neil
Could it be that you installed RSSOwl to another directory, but the link to the Exe is still pointing to the old directory?
Are you sure that the Exe is in the same folder as the JAR and Dll file of RSSOwl?
Did you make sure that you have JAVA_HOME set as env. variable?
Please download RSSOwl 1.0.2 (binary release) and use the rssowl.exe from there to launch RSSOwl 1.1. Does that work?
I was clicking on the EXE directly, not through a shortcut. Thanks for the suggestion anyways....
Oh, I almost forgot that you can pass an argument to the rssowl.exe, telling the location of the JVM.
Please try executing rssowl with:
rssowl -vm <Path to Java Dir>
Does that work?
