RssOwl Not Loading anymore

    I am getting a message after RssOwl fails to load to check the logfile in the
    rssowl /home folder ,which I dont quite understand as it opens fine from
    /root.

    Could anyone decern what the log file is saying for me Thanks AnyOne.

    1. You should really update your Java Version since it is outdated and has some critical bugs.
    2. It looks like you started RSSOwl from your home folder with super-user rights (sudo?). This made some if not all files in /home/hutchy/.rssowl2/ unreadable or unwritable by a "normal" user due to corrupt file permissions. To solve this problem you should chown and chmod all files in this folder (recursively). Try:

      sudo chown -R hutchy ~/.rssowl2

    to re-own those files and

    chmod -R +rwx ~/.rssowl2
    

    And for the future: Do never ever start applications with super-user rights
    if you don't need to. And do never start applications with super-user rights
    if you don't exactly know for sure what you're doing.
    You would
    crash/damage/destroy most applications when starting with super-user rights,
    e.g.
