RSSOwl looks really sleek; the only visible shortcoming I could see, after being coddled by NetNewsWire, is the lack of favicons.
Would it be possible to use the feed's icon instead of the looking glass? The icon could still be faded out if there are no new posts in that feed.
I already thought about that. And I think there is a feature request for it. Please have a look.
If not, feel free to open a feature request. If you got more information, e.g. on how to retrieve favicons, please let me know and add it to the request.

It seems that the 'feed icon' is really just the site's favicon, and feeds normally do not set their favicon explicitly - so retrieving /favicon.ico is the way to grab it.
