Make sure to have RSSOwl downloaded from either rssowl.org or here at SourceForge. I can only guarantee that my build of RSSOwl is not having any spyware included.

I checked it out running RSSOwl in debug mode which creates a logfile for any connection made while loading feeds. Did not find any "MarketScore" inside.
Could it be that this connection is made through the internal Browser while surfing on any webpage, like unserious pages with popups?
I am not having control about connections made via the Browser.

Btw, RSSOwl is opensource, if there would be any spyware included, it would be visible. Spyware in opensource is not making very much sense.
Downloaded from your Minneapolis, MN mirror site. Try it yourself to see the problem.
