Yes.

"aptitude install rssh" installed version 2.3.3-1 on Ubuntu 12.04.2
LTS. Doing the same on an Ubuntu 12.10 server installed 2.3.3-5.

It seems my problem was due to Ubuntu not keeping up with releases of rssh.
