In order to do this, you must create a chroot jail IN EACH USER'S HOME DIRECTORY, and chroot them to their home directory. You can do this, but you probably shouldn't. You're much better off limiting their access using file permissions. See the CHROOT file, the section "Individual jails for different users" for a detailed discussion of this. In short, the restriction is done by the chroot(2) system call, and so whatever part of the file system you restrict the user to must have a complete chroot jail set up. - -- Derek D.
