#288 Crash on Click on Feedgroup

No

Using Windows2000 and RSS Bandit 1.2.0.119, when I
click on an RSS Feed group, the right pane starts
displaying all items of all sub-feeds, but then the
application exits without any error message. This is
always reproducable, but sometimes RSSBandit just hangs
and needs to be killed.

I would like to try a 1.3 snapshot, but there are no
binary files available.

    No error.log entries...?

No, the last error.log entry is from July this year and
concerned a bug which was fixed in a snapshot somewhen. It
just closes without generating any message whatsoever.

If you could come up with a latest-CVS snapshot I might try
to test it -- but the same problem is also reproducible with
an installation on my WindowsXP notebook (same subscribed
    Feeds with synchronisatio, though).

I just downloaded and tested it, but the error stays the
same. If I click on a whole feedlist (about 200 items), it
will immediately close without any notice. Still no update
    of 'error.log'

However clicking on an item group with only about 30 unread
items, it works. So maybe it's a memory/overflow issue? But
I do have 512MB of RAM, 200MB of them free...

Garvin (or any other reported that error): can you provide
your feedlist.xml? I cannot repro that issue on my WinXP
    SP2; .NET SP2 machine.

Does the error happen only on specific category nodes?

Okay, I've attached my feedlist.xml. The crash reproducibly
happens on the "News" or "PHP" categories I've enlisted, but
not in the small categories ("Defekte Feeds").

    Thanks for looking into this!

I did not see the attachment, Garvin. Where it is?

Oh, I'm very sorry. SourceForge cancelled my upload because
the file was larger than 250kb, and I didn't spot the error
message. I just re-attached the file!

    Feedlist with problems

Feedlist seems to be OK. Is the failure to be repro'd with the
1.3.x Beta version again? Listview control changed
meanwhile, that was maybe involved somehow...

I can confirm it being fixed. At least what failed
    previously works now.

    Great, thanks! :)
