As you can see in this excerpt from a monitoring program
I run, RB is at the top of all my applications for total
memory KB usage. Why does RB require so much
memory resources. Is there a leak of some kind?

I have an idea for this, I just kinda stumbled on it.

In theory, its probably due to the multiple copies of strings
between the feeds and the treeview items.

Additionally the XmlDocument is probably always loaded in
    memory?

Perhaps the XmlDoc is in memory only when Bandit is doing an
update, then the TreeViewNode tags could point to XPath
queries in the RSS Bandit stored Xml feeds, loading from
storage on-demand (either local disk or that Web service
    proposed in the road map)...

(perhaps keep the last 10 items in memory in a revolving
    queue?)

(I should probably download latest source to give better
    feedback.)

I'm seeing exactly the same behavior. I was hoping that
Wolverine would make some strides in this area, but the
memory usage seems to be roughly the same. On my laptop, the
machine is almost always in swap mode with RB running. p4,
    1.4ghz, 512mb of RAM...

    My feedlist is here:
    http://www.byte.org/feeds/rssbandit-state.zip if it helps.
