I could not reproduce this error. Need more information to reproduce such as
- What are your settings for opening browser tabs?
- What sites did you open?
- How many open tabs does it require for this error to occur?
RSS is as it came right out of the box. Crashing occurs already on opening the first browser tab and on opening on mostly any page on any site. I found out, that disabling ActiveX in the options webbrowser dialog prevents RSS Bandit from crashing.
Also I added the error.log file (I first only looked inside the errorlog dir and didn´t notice that the error log is inside the main dir). Additionaly a trace.log is existent. Here´s what it say on every crash:
2008-05-24 07:35:59,683 ERROR RssBandit.Common.Logging.Log [(null)] - RssBandit.BanditApplicationException: StartMainGui() exiting main event loop on exception. ---> System.AccessViolationException: Es wurde versucht, im geschützten Speicher zu lesen oder zu schreiben. Thanks for the clarification. So it seems having ActiveX enabled is what has been causing these crashes for you. Does this happen on every site?
No, it doesn´t happen on every site or better, it doen't occur every time. A page that worked once may crash the next time. Crashing occurs in probably 9 out of 10 attempts.
I don't know if and how deeply the internal browser depends on the Internet Explorer, but i can confirm, that the crashing pages open on my computer in the IE without any problem.
