This is true. Eventually you will even be able to whisper to a specific token name (instead of player name), which will whisper to everyone who has 'ownership' of that token (since more than one player can have ownership of a single token).
Additionally, for GMs, soon there will be a /say as, and /whisper as, so that the GM can speak as if from an NPC for example

To start a chat, use the '/s' command.
Personal chat has not yet been added, but I might be able to squeeze that in for M8, since it should be fairly easy to implement
