Hi everyone, there will be any new release of R Portable? I see that the last version is 4.2. Thank you
I am sorry to bother with this question. But is there a version of this for Mac OS? Thank you so much.
R Portable Version 4.2.0 has been Released! Download R Portable for free!
Same here, I'd love to wrap a portable R into a java-dependency, but this will just work if R ships essentially just as extractable zip-file without an UI.
R Portable Version 4.1.2 has been Released! Download R Portable for free!
R Portable Version 4.1.1 has been Released! Download R Portable for free!
R Portable Version 4.1.0 has has been released!
R Portable Version 4.0.5 has has been released!
Bill -- I commend you for your work on R Portable. Made my work so much easier. A request: please do a blog post on your recipe for converting regular R into R Portable. That way if you lose interest in updating the portable build, someone else can pick up the slack (thanks in advance). Thanks!

Amazing! Thank you so much for your efforts in this regard.
R Portable Version 4.0.3 has has been released!
I would be willing to help with the endeavor, but I am not having an easy time figuring out how to package an app for the portableapps format.
Could you kindly create a portable version of the latest R 4.0.2? Thank you.
Yes, please, it would be very useful as there are some major bugs in 4.0.0 on windows.
Could you kindly create a postable version of the latest R 4.0.2? Thank you.
I think I got RStudio to work portably by changing some environment variables from a batch file. download the ZIP version of RStudio (https://rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/, scroll to "Zip/Tarballs" Create a folder where RStudio, R, the Package Library and your scripts go to, for example "PortableAnalysis" Extract the Zip, for example in a folder called "PortableAnalysis\RStudio". Create a Batch file "PortableAnalysis\start_rstudio.bat", which uses the path to the batch script itself %~dp0...

I was wondering if development of RStudio portable is still active. I have enjoyed using it untill recently. Since, I downloaded R 4.0.0, and there have some errors (for example https://github.com/rstudio/rstudio/issues/5888). It appears to be fixed in latest versions of RStudio. It would be wonderful if someone could develop portable version of the latest RStudio.
