rpmorphan 1.16 (stable) released

rpmorphan is a set of rpm tools : rpmorphan, rpmusage, rpmdep, rpmduplicates, rpmextra.

the major change is a multi-column display in rpmorphan (tk, curses)
the others changes are :
change shebang to /usr/bin/env
fix build warnings on fedora 23
fix use from tgz install
(rmpdep) rename option verbose into debug
(rmpdep) add level option
(rpmduplicate) remove rpmorphan-lib dependency
(rpmduplicate) remove unused option verbose
(rpmduplicate) add remove option for interactive action
(rpmextra) fix missing separator between name and version for yum
(rpmextra) can use dnf tool
(rpmorphan tk) use virtual events to remove duplicate code
(rpmorphan tk) use MListbox to display informations on sortable columns
(rpmorphan) can configure log file (from command line and rpmorphanrc)
(rpmorphan) add debug option (for developpers)
* (rpmorphan curses) display name and size in columns

rpmorphan 1.15 (stable) released

this release fixes a bug over keep-file : it was coded but refused by command parsing !

in this release, the work was on rpmdep :

  • rpmdep can show depending packages (-depending option)

  • rpmdep can work on all installed packages (-all option)

rpmorphan 1.4 (stable) released

When removing a package (with rpm -e), it was not easy to check if the commands succeed or not. An rpm query was added to be sure of the status.

rpmorphan 1.0 released

rpmorphan finds "orphaned" packages on your system. It determines which packages have no other packages depending on their installation, and shows you a list of these packages. It is clone of deborphan debian software for rpm packages.

A bug was fixed in tk interface. A simulation mode was added. Severals counters are added in the 2 gui. The gui can now re-analyse dependencies, after package removing. Virtual pakages treatment is improved ( we now check how many package provide the virtual )

This release comes with another another graphical interface (curses), available by the --curses command line argument. Tk is still available.

rpmusage will display for each package, the last date it was used (in days). It can be used to find unused packages.
