Social software is interesting to me. Partly because I have grown up around things like MySpace and Facebook. I figured it was time to start some building blocks to show that RPG and IBM i can also play in this space. So I started a new website named www.ChattyGabby.com that uses an HTML5 mobile framework to do a very simple chat client. The backend is RPG+DB2+IBMi. You can read all about the whole project at the following article: http://www.ibmsystemsmag.com/ibmi/enewsletterexclusive/35121p1.aspx
NOTE: The www.chattygabby.com site only works in HTML5 capable browsers like Safari and Chrome (which are both freely available on Windows and Mac, and Linux can do Chrome).
**All of the code is free and open source. You can install and run this on your IBM i!
**Boy am I having run with this stuff! Stay tuned for more fun articles and more domain purchases like www.ChattyGabby.com :-)
