The --class and --name do nothing, the class is always Roxterm.
I need these because i use Awesome and sometime OpenBox and many text based software like mutt.
I want something like roxterm --class=mutt -e mutt be opened in the good virtual screen.
I very like RoxTerm. It's very good but it lake one little function to be perfect.

Is using --separate an adequate solution for you? The only disadvantage is that you can't drag tabs from one window to another, but if you're using --class and/or --name I don't suppose you'd want to do that anyway. This is one of those things that could be "fixed", but not without some effort, and I'm not convinced it's worth it.

GTK is supposed to handle these options automatically, but the trouble is ROXTerm uses a single application to handle all its windows. If you use --name and/or --class on the first instance you run (without any other roxterms already open) does it work then?
Because ROXTerm acts as a shell around other applications it would make sense for each window to be able to have its own class, so I'll probably see if I can do that.

Yes, it work only with the first instance.
Thanks very much

Until this is faxed, can't you use --separate in conjunction with the other switches as a workaround?

Thanks.
Work as needed with --separate.
Bruno
I do not need to drag tab betwen windows.
I'm using --separate for opening my mail reader (mutt) and some other software
automaticaly in the good virtual screen with dwm.
--separate do what i need perfectly. Don't waste your time.
Thanks
