From=20this description, I assume that you're using list mode (displays o=
per line with details). In this mode, you are right - each file takes up =
full width. However, there is a gap between each file vertically that you=
use to start a drag.
If that doesn't appeal, you can use Ctrl to select several files manually=
there's no Shift operator for selecting ranges of files.
