It's driving me nuts that ctrl+n creates a new file, I'd love to map this to create a new directory. And I'm also getting ideas of other shortcuts I'd like to use in rox-filer. However, I can't find any documentation about custom key binding. Is this possible? Does anyone have some information about this? Thanks, -RCR- |

(You might need to enable an option to it, but I'm not running ROX right now so I can't check up on it. Hunt around menus or keyboards or keybinding areas in either ROX-Session (if an old version) or Guido's new control panels (if a new version of ROX-Session).) -- Tristan |

I forgot to 'reply-list' (why doesn't this list have a reply-to set??!!), but just in case anyone besides RR needs this info I sent to him directly... You need to add this line to your .gtkrc-2.0: gtk-can-change-accels = 1 This has come up many times before and has been added to the FAQ :-) http://rox.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/index.php/KeyboardShortcuts -- JoeHill RLU #282046 / www.freeyourmachine.org 19:05:05 up 35 days, 18:50, 12 users, load average: 1.22, 1.47, 1.40 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "If the Nuremberg laws were applied, then every post-war American president would have been hanged." -- Noam Chomsky |

I should've been more clear. I'm using rox-filer and want to change its key bindings. The suggestions in the Rox help (and those whom have kindly emailed me) to highlight the menu item and change what's there doesn't seem applicable. If I right-click to get the menu and select New, Directory there isn't a shortcut assigned. However, I'm unable to edit the entry or delete the Ctrl+N attached to New, Blank file.
