Can someone explain how I can get nitrogen (my usual background or wallpaper handler) to work with rox? I have tried running nitrogen before and after rox but it doesn't seem to have any effect. By the way I never did sort out why rox was loading two copies of wbar, my app launcher, so I gave up on rox desktop and am now running rox-filer alone. -- Cheers Frank |

If you're not running ROX-Session make sure your start up script doesn't include rox with the pinboard argument. |

Guess I didn't make myself clear...I am running rox to have a couple of desktop icons..so I need the pinboard option. But as soon as nitrogen loads the wallpaper, rox runs and overlays it with that blah grey background. Loading nitrogen AFTER rox doesn't change anything. -- Cheers Frank |

It's one or the other. Why do you want to use Nitrogen? |
