Trying to settle with Rox as my new and shiny desktop, I tried to install
some panel applets. In principle they all work fine, they do what they're
supposed to do. However when I have placed an applet on my panel, log out
and log back in, I get a
(ROX-Filer:7307): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkxembed.c: line 188
(_gtk_xembed_send_focus_message): assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (recipient)'
immediately after ROX-Session starts. By systematically removing any and all
extra things I installed on the panel, I discovered that, indeed, any panel
applet causes this message.
Note however, that still, all applets do their jobs correctly. It's just
this annoying message everytime I log in while there are applets on my
panel. And I do *not* wish to turn off the green-on-black messages (I think
its better than a stupid console window floating around). Does anyone know
I'm using ROX-Filer 2.0.1, ROX-Session 0.1.20, sawfish 1.3, GTK 2.2.4, GLib
2.2.3, xft 2.1.2, and have *removed* the previously offending
LD_PRELOAD=libgdkxft.so (which caused rox to crash immediately upon
Any help/ideas/suggestions to try are greatly appreciated.

I upgraded gtk to 2.2.4 as well and get this error. Thomas has submitted
it as a GTK bug
I was actually just going to check up on it today ;-)
