I've upgraded to the cairo based gtk-2.8.
So far everything works OK, except the gtk layouts stretch out farther for some apps now.
Unfortunately affected is my Contacts app, which after the switch stretches out about 25%
wider than before. Pango font rendering seems to have changed a lot.
Have to see what I can do about it.
Anyway, ROX-Filer seems to be fine, altthough it spews this warning at start-up:
(ROX-Filer:19936): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_drawable_get_colormap: assertion `GDK_IS_DRAWABLE (drawable)' failed
(ROX-Filer:19936): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_window_set_back_pixmap(): pixmap must have a colormap
art_render_invoke: no image source given
gdk_window_set_back_pixmap() hints that this may be theme engine related.
Maybe I need to recompile it (using Industrial).
