OK, I've upgraded the Archive program, as promised, and put it in CVS. This version should be able to dearchive tar, tgz, tar.gz, gz, zip, and bz2 files. If the archive contains a single file you get a savebox to save out that file. If it contains a directory, you can save out that directory. If the archive has several top-level files then you get to save a single directory, and all the contents go in that. Working out what's in the archive involves a bit of messing around parsing the output from various programs. Might not work on some systems, so report and problems. As it's in PERL now there's no need to compile it. You will, however, need the latest CVS gui_utils (ie, today's version!) installed. BTW, would there be any interest in setting up a rox-users list for people who don't want to read about every single commit?
