Yeah, I see the problem, but a there exist a lot of beautiful icons in PNG format from gnome. To use them as an AppIcon or a MIME-icon, I have to covert them (instead of just linking them). The ROX filer itself can handle png icons that are linked to *.xpm names, but not the python utilties (they use gdk_image_from_pixmap) > > - HTML viewing capapility in Filer windows (component design?) > > I like most of your suggestions, but I strongly oppose this one. But sometimes I miss the capability to just view the index.html from, say, some software documentation, without having to wait for mozilla/netscape/galeon to start up. I didn't suppose to make rox a full featured browser. More like an integrated (html) help viewer. The problem is, that all browser I know of, are either trying to implement everything and are not getting anything right, or are just proofs of concept (like the gtk, wxgtk, etc. demos) that aren't usable. But that's a tiresome topic. Maybe someone has a suggestion for a nice little utilty app for this purpose? -- Christopher Arndt [t] +49 6221-303918 Hildastr. 2 [c] +49 173-9542751 69115 Heidelberg [e] chr...@we... |
