I'm sorry I haven't been prompt in testing this and getting back to you. Unfortunately, the problems weren't fixed, and both 0.9.7.3 and .7.4 show the problem. Worse still, your suggestions in the original thread to compile in the symbols haven't helped, and the messages are the same unhelpful mess as ever. I tried running mplayer (with and without symbols) and ROX-Filer through gdb, and when I run mplayer without symbols, it expressly says it's running with no symbols, but otherwise they both run with as useless outputs as I've given you. I suspect then that it's something to do with my dodgy install. You may be at your wit's end with this though, and considering my system's somewhat exotic I'll understand if you've had enough, at least for the time being. Googling, it seems that there's a way to get Debian installed more happily than I have Ubuntu/YellowDog atm, and maybe that'll at least let me get debug symbols showing. I won't have time to do that for at least a fortnight, but maybe then... Thanks, though. 0.9.6-13 still works :) > Changes: >=20 > 30-Jul-2005 > ~~~~~~~~~~~ > * fix infoWin(): > - allocate XftDraw *after* info_win creation > - free XftDraw *before* info_win destruction > - save guards: make sure info_win actually exists -- Alexander. |
