I think you've got it pretty well covered there actually.

Personally I keep arc'd copies of all the essential parts in my home
directory for easy (re) install - actually I have them copied to a CD
ROM for remote installs:) I also have a step-by-step install text file.
for Mdk 10.1 - it would be fairly similar for most distros, although
many of the library files are there by default in modern distros.

Below is the section on ROX

Mandrake install xterm
Mandrake install pyrex
Mandrake install libqtc1-devel-3.2.3-9mdk
Mandrake install libqtsharp0-3.2.3-5mdk
Mandrake install qtc-3.2.3-9mdk
Mandrake install librsvg-2.6.5-2mdk
Mandrake install pygtk2.0-devel-2.3.96-1mdk
Mandrake install python-gtk-devel-0.6.11-6mdk

Install libsigc RPM

Unpack rox-filer-2.5
Unpack rox-lib-2.2.0.3 and extract ROX-Lib2
Unpack ROX-Session-0.28 and extract ROX-Session
Unpack ROX-CLib-2.1.8 to ROX-CLib

Open shell
	cd rox-filer-2.5
	ROX-Filer/AppRun --compile
	su to root
		./install.sh
		Chose '1' then 'yes'
		cd ..
		mv ROX-Lib2 to /usr/lib
		mv ROX-CLib to /usr/lib
 		mv ROX-Session to /usr/local/apps
		su to {user}
			Run 'rox' and enter directory /usr/local/apps
			Run ROX-Session for first time accepting making
			it your session manager
			(select 'user')
	Close shell
	Delete rox-filer-2.5 and other scraps from /home

Logout of KDE and re-login as default
